an NA team that looked mid as fuck in the prev year (23'SEN and 24'NRG) blasted trough the competition (almost) flawlessly to reach grand finals where they won comfortably 3-0 against APAC's best team that year (23'SEN v PRX 3-0, 24'NRG v GEN.G 3-0)

got to farm 2 china teams in shanghai to qualify to playoffs, then EDG in playoffs cuz they got unlucky with being 2nd to last to choose
3 china teams to farm, so cringe
then got to farm FPX again in champs
they shouldnt had even made playoffs in shanghai xd

i never called heretics trash, in fact they had the some of the best team play in 2024. im just saying the irony in what #4 said about heretics vs china. they were easily emea’s best team and had a real shot in winning champs but lotus was their demise

map disadvantages are better, its obvious what maps theyll ban so thats 1 less map you have to practice
and most teams wont pull optic 2022/eg tokyo 2023 and only have 1 good map they are good at
hence why heretics always got 2 maps, it means absolutely nothing
