Riot has revealed the new patch, including neon Nerf, ping, etc.
In terms of ping, you can't use ping to mark the bomb inside the smoke anymore.
This shit ruins the post plant gameplay for sure.

Postplant spam definitely got nerfed, there's no argument there. But part of me feels like at this point, pros have enough practice and intuition to be able to spam decently well regardless, especially on maps like Abyss and Sunset

sort of, but the ping before let you ping the left and the right side, meaning that pros could spray every single spot where they could be defusing. it might not be meta changing but it will definitely be noticable while watching

even in cs where you can shoot through and open smokes, ninja defuses happen. there will be more times where spamming wont work if you have like 2-3 people max alive for example

To be fair, ninja defuses always did happen. We've had at least a couple dozen of them this year. They're just a more likely possibility now, which is very fun, and also adds a great amount of risk to postplant spam (which I feel is the entire idea of this change)
