So if lpl doesn't win worlds again next year then lpl scene will probably might die is what I am hearing in league community. And if lpl does die doesn't that basically mean whole league eSports scene will die slowly? If that does happens ig valo will easily become the biggest eSports with it getting so popular in china.
Will be sad to see league eSports die tho. Any info on league popularity in china nowadays? Is it really decreasing? At least the eSports scene?

games aren't like shows

a good portion of the LPL fans have committed a lot of time to playing League of Legends specifically. It's a lot harder to get them to swap over to a game they know nothing about

eSports viewership can switch tho ig. Valo isn't really hard eSports to follow. And the Chinese viewership is a bit too high which will easily make val eSports just that big. Some people just don't understand how big and important lpl is for league game as well as eSports.

Kinda funny how after all that hype T1 somehow back to back years ended two LPL dynasties before they even started

It's not just t1. Lpl hasn't won worlds for 3 years now. So the scene is losing popularity already. And lpl dying means league dies too so it's bad for any dynasty. Also think blg should give this roaster more time. Formed just this year with constant changes in jungle yet reached finals and almost beat t1 with 4 years synergy. So this team has insane potential.

"Oh no we got top 2 our region will die"

Fuck the LPL we from Brazil don't know what is like to make playoffs and we still watch league year after year.

LPL is just spoiled.

Chinese community in nutshell. They have too high of expectations and are very toxic too. Also worlds next year is in china so lpl needs to win for the scene to remain alive. Otherwise lpl probably dies soon which means league eSports as well slowly.

League scene does not depend on LPL its big enough to survive without the chinese, they can leave the scene we really don't care about them, we still would have LEC x LCK and in my opinion that would be more hype.

Lol funniest joke I heard today. Lec x lck lol. Bro doesn't understand how big Chinese league scene is for riot or league scene in general. Lpl dying will just mean league eSports slowly dies as well. It won't completely die tho ig. Still will be quite big but nowhere at the level it is rn.

LPL can bring a lot of money but they are not even counted on the viewership every year.

Make a worlds without LPL and you will see how hype it will be the entire West against LCK.

You do know the Chinese viewership dwarfs the entire non-Chinese views by more than 4x minimum

And they have multiple more exclusive $500 Skins that the rest of the Servers have

There’s a fucking reason why the Chinese market is desired, you dumb fuck

Well if that does happen riot will probably focus much more on valo. Cause lpl dying means league eSports will die. eSports scene will just be one region scene at that point. Game will still remain quite strong in china though ig.

Such arguments are indeed popular in China, but I don't think so. I don't think it's the LPL that is falling. Rather, T1 has shown enough ability. Aside from T1, the other teams in the LCK are not bright enough. However, the popularity of LPL in China has indeed declined partially, and some midstream and downstream clubs have chosen to reduce investment or opt out of the league (such as ra). The resurgence of ig is largely due to investments from electric vehicle companies (although there is no definite news, but it is likely to be arfox) and esports MCN.
About Valorant
I don't think IG will set up a Valorant division, as some Chinese club owners didn't think the program was competitive until EDG won the title. IG has established a Valorant club before, and found the previous cs player lan and roinybaby, but because of the small business, it chose to dissolve the distribution after the China Evolution Series.
And for Chinese clubs, IG is not a big capital. For example, the capital behind JDG is JD.com, which is one of the largest trading platforms in China. For example, BLG, the capital behind him is bilibili, which you can understand as Chinese YouTube. Behind TES is TOP, a multinational sports brand.

Regarding the tram company, it seems that not Arfox is Zeeker, but Zekker is a sub-brand of Geely
