Teams/players can only earn a fix ammount by winning. After it means you got the support and platform, go ahead and improve . Or stay in tierx winning but you don't get the earnings even if you win , it goes to 2nd place holder or down the line accordingly . Let other upcoming talent take the benifits of support system if you are too afraid to take a jump . Nuh uh no more money for you to get the easy bag repeatedly at substantially lower class of valorant .

I think the easiest fix if some team wins gc they get a slot into the tier 2 league. There genuinely needs to be some sort of promotion or gc will be still in their same old echo chamber

Would be the perfect solution in an ideal world ngl

Riots idea is that they compete in GC and premier/open quals at the same time

Not a good system since

  1. no incentive to actually compete (making it to t2 is way worse for the orgs than staying in t2 in terms of visibility and prize pools)
  2. conflicting schedules (which leads to the GC teams getting byes, which leads to t3 players being..... lets say "unfriendly")

But ye because of 1. a direct promotion would probably get significant pushback from orgs too

GC should not get free spots in T2. They're clearly not good enough to get their on their own if they need a free spot to play in T2. They can go through open quals like everyone else if they want it enough.

Absolutely. But they have taken the easy path of being just good enough to win gc and get the easy money and not going any further when the main purpose of gc is that marginalised genders get better and in time join the main league . Everyone should follow bob as example .
