Tier 2 vs GC truth

This is NOT a hate post towards GC, but rather to prove that GC isn't as close to Tier 2 as many like to argue. The girls are still not there yet, maybe in the future but not right now. Forcing them to Tier 2 like some propose would just be harmful. Today LEV Academy in tier 2 played against the Top 2 GC team in LATAM and these there the results. P.S. FG roster is all loaned players from LEV Academy

Ascent (FG 13 - 2 9z )
Sunset (FG 13 - 1 9z)

https://www.vlr.gg/417328/furious-gaming-vs-9z-team-gc-challengers-league-2024-latam-south-ace-split-3-r1/?game=190348&tab=overview

So stop with "x" player would be top player in tier 1 pls, it's just not the case and that just generates unwarranted hate towards the player. Gotta wait for them to prove themselves first.

How did they even qual in the first place??

They didn't, it's just that (like many orgs) 9z did not have a reason to keep paying their main roster wages for stage 3, so they dropped the main team and instead just put their GC team to fill their spot

They need to inject way more money nto Tier 2, then what’s going to GC. Legit that’s a main reason why many choose GC over grinding it out and getting better in T2

Everyone is allowed to play in open quals. Riot shouldn't be giving a special pipeline or reserve spots for GC teams when they clearly haven't been able to make it to T2 on their own skill.

unfortunately this happened here in Brazil, the 3 best teams in the GC won their places just for being good in the GC, including LOUD GC, which is the worst among them, won the place after the team that qualified as premier had 3 players banned for cheat, the worst of all is that LOUD GC didn't even play in the premier, they won the spot just because they were a good team in GC

why is it different when china gets guaranteed slots to LANS in 2022/2023/2024 and a whole league but GC gets one team in some of the challengers circuits and suddenly we dont like propping up weaker teams and giving them experience

Because that's based on region no . Anyway you can see they have talent and they showed it internationally instead of choking to no namer tier 3 teams.

the first time china was invited to a LAN they lost 1-4 (EDG btw, eventual champs winners 2 years later) and the second tournament they lost to KC and 100T. Not GOOD KC and 100T, shitter KC and 100T. Keep in mind, everyone wanted these teams OUT of every tournament and now they're contending with the rest of the league. GC isn't even trying to get invited to franchising, its just fucking t2 dude, why is there a problem. Everyone wants them to get good but when they're given options and opportunities everyone throws a fit for no reason.

Because GC shouldn't get a free ride to T2.

so why should china get its own regional league and guaranteed spots in the league when they never won a series prior to masters tokyo? Why should india get a whole team (that they dont use) when they have never made an international? Why should spain and france get 5 teams in total when realistically all the good emea teams are turkish and russian? Because they want the scene to be represented and to grow, there is no difference between GE getting a free slot in franchising than a GC team getting a slot in a T2 league that YOU probably dont even watch.

Because those decisions were for PARTNERED teams. They wanted to get orgs and country representation to make stable leagues. GC shouldn't get guaranteed spots in T2 when T2 is supposed to be an open circuit. If GC teams are too dogshit to qual on their own merit, then oh well.

They lost to tier1 teams and caused upsets bruh . Gc champions winners are not even going top10 in tier 3 . Do you hear yourself. And china is a region itself.

no one gave free slots to china, at first they gave them a chance on apac lcq and 2 chinese teams (attacking soul if im not mistaken and edward gaming) beated the shit out of every east asia team (korea and japan teams) earning their spot, then they saw potential on the region and started giving them slots, they gave him more than they should´ve? maybe but thats different, and top teams from asia like prx and drx always talked about how some chinese teams were insane on scrims so it was just a matter of time for them to become good enough to get slots, as i said more than what they earned? maybe but it is what it is.

No they shouldn't . By this logic why not just hand them champions final invitation.

?!? I know I just edited it, but I thought it was pretty obvious that I was saying injecting more money into t2. The fact that T2 is so underfunded is a huge reason why GC is sought after over T2. Like how from without the money is people interpreting that I'm saying add more slots for GC to go into tier 2 wtf?!?!

No need to make this post. Every sane person knows that GC is tier 3/4

I've been saying this in the Valorant communities on Twitter for months and they always insult me for it, people there are really crazy, they even ask the TL BR staff in the franchises when they've never even managed to play VCB, the girls are still VERY far away. from tier 2 and sometimes even from tier 3, here in Brazil, TL itself, which until recently, had never lost a gc championship before, went to play against a team of streamers and casters from RIOT (Oskaravelho) and lost, This match is still remembered today here in Brazil as a joke

random 5 radiants from ranked can destroy most of GC teams

Not really a good example, they get also stomped by KRU Blaze
https://www.vlr.gg/381311

I agree GC are for from top of T2, but they are now really close from bottom T2.
Kru Blaze vs ZEN esport could be a win for KRU

most of the people saying gc players deserve t1 are almost all baits, the upper echelon of gc are very low tier 2 at best. the potential is there but potential != actual skill level, but i still believe with more time and development i think we'll start to see more people from gc start to play in these tourneys

I get your point and I raise you this LA rankings

  1. Kru Blaze >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  2. AkaveGC>>>>>>3.FusionX >>>4. 9Z Globant ranking based on h2h against each other where found not against kru , comparing them to the best LA gc team would be like comparing 2022 optic to 2021 acend
But still no idea why top 1 in the scene isnt in their place
