truthfully i hate all those awards and lost respect for them. with ballon d'or not awarding someone in 2020, with messi beating haaland in 2023, with fifa mens best player being given to messi for the calendar year of 2023 (not the world cup year, messi won 2 fifa best mens player over 1 world cup) i dont value those awards, but its still something i care about, even if i know i shouldnt
