Introducing the new trading card update:

How does the VLR.gg trading card work?

Users can obtain trading cards of their favorite players
Individual players can have multiple cards based on the rarity system, a different variety of cards will be rewarded to users based on their actions.
You can obtain cards mainly from:
Making right predictions (A different variety of cards will be rewarded based on the points you got)
Putting on a specific flair for a period of time (The player card that you obtain will be a player playing (Played) for the respective team)

Individual players can have different variations of their player cards from the teams they played for (eg. C9 Zellsis/ SEN Zellsis will co- exist because Zellsis played for Cloud9 in 2023 and 2024)
The trading card collection will conclude players that played in franchising teams, major teams in pre- franchising (2021- 2022), Ascension teams, and some notable Challenger teams (Larger orgs that are more notable than others or orgs that have accomplished something)
The player card is made up of the player name and In Game Name, their flag (Usually the flag displayed in their VLR.gg profile), the team logo of the team they are playing for, their respective achievements (Mainly consists of LAN placements, regional titles or major tournaments they played well in), and a short description of their basic information on the back of the card.

This is an example of the description at the back of the card:
Tyson Van Ngo (born May 5, 2001), better known as TenZ, is a Canadian online streamer, former professional Valorant player.
During the first two stages of the 2021 Valorant Champions Tour , TenZ competed remotely from Canada. Sentinels went on to win the first international Valorant tournament, the VCT Stage Two Masters Reykjavík after sweeping Fnatic in the grand finals by a score of 3–0. TenZ was named the grand finals most valuable player.
On March 24, 2024, TenZ helped Sentinels to their second international trophy, winning the 2024 VCT Masters Madrid by defeating Gen.G 3-2, becoming the second-ever Valorant player to win two Masters trophies after Chronicle.
DDDD
VLR should introduce a new type of credit/ “In game currency” (Code name “V bucks”), players can obtain or redeem those currencies from your pickem scores or upvotes. Downvotes won’t affect your V bucks in your inventory. PS: Your own upvote (Upvoting yourself) doesn’t count.

wells its not 1 for 1 but basically you can claim daily logins, collect cards (same person can have like 5 different rarities) and then complete levels for money to then either buy/trade cards. you can also get cards from typing in chat and then randomly it would appear and if you typed the name of the character first you can get the card

Im sorry but VLR does not have enough devs for this 😭 look at the ranking system. Maybe if they monetize it then it could work because they could hire more devs but idk if it would make THAT much money to pay for another dev
