Suggest joins the team after departing from NUTURN NUTURN Inactive early last month alongside Park "allow" Sang-wook (박상욱). This announcement also marks Suggest's entrance into the Japanese Valorant scene.

In 2020, DetonatioN Gaming was a frequent attendee of Japanese tournaments featuring local talent, and only faced off against teams from other regions once — in the A.W. Extreme Masters Asia Invitational — where they finished in the top eight. In 2021, the team struggled to find its footing in VCT Japan, where their only main event appearance was Stage 1 Challengers 1.

After Stage 1 Challengers 1, DetonatioN Gaming made group stage exits in Stage 1 Challengers 2, Stage 2 Challengers 1, and Stage 2 Challengers 2 before withdrawing from competition to rebuild their Valorant team.

After three months of inactivity, the team's PUBG division ceased activity and transferred to competing in Valorant in October.
