Putting a question mark on teams — Sentinels

This is a series I want to do where I put a question marks against serious VCT contenders for Masters and Champions. This is the first part and I will go through the teams I believe are good one by one.

Note: This is simply an opinion based post. If you don't agree, that's alright. You can also share your opinion below and inform if I missed out on any points.

Sen is so good that they have a chance to legit win all three but...

1. I have always thought that to Sen chemistry matters a lot more than just firepower or player competency. Last year's roster had the one of the best chemistry I have seen. Tenz and Zekken felt like they were part of the same player, like one saw what the other was seeing and just knew when to put in the correct utility. Same with Sacy, John, Zellsis. They had some lows but they never tilted because of the chemistry. This year, they don't have the privilege. They don't have that calming presence or leadership and experience that Sacy provided which can make them overheat. If they can form even close to a team chemistry that they did last year though with Bang and N4rrate there is not much you can really do against this team.

2. They also have the Reduxx situation. It is one which needs to be handled with care. It can cause tension in the team and let's say he replaces Zellsis then they lose a secondary caller, making all of it fall on John which may not end well. But then again, it can't be denied that adding Reduxx would be an insane addition to firepower to the already existing one. It's a double edged sword.

3. They also need to bring N4rrate's schizoing a bit. He can't tweak that much in official matches.

4. THE OVERCOOKING: Sen have a habit of trying out shit that don't work out usually in their favour just for "shock value". The biggest one is them leaving Abyss open in the biggest game of the year against Heretics after never playing it officially and then picking Deadlock constantly even after it not working out. But hopefully Gunter stops Kaplan from pressing that trigger and they just go with what works for them. I don't want to see another Deadlock season oml.

5. Expectations : I have seen like 59 lists put them on top of Americas which I mean fair from their roster but puts an intense pressure on them to perform. That and their fans schizo the hell off after one lost match. So hopefully they don't put that on their head.

it will be a good year for sentinels but i dont expect them to win anything i mean they can win but i personally dont expect them winning a masters or champs next year

I think the N4RRATE pickup is gonna be a flop, SEN’s entire game plan boils down to supporting their duelist whereas on KC it was more about individuality. N4RRATE’s not gonna be the same player he was on KC when his gameplay is gonna end up being structured around keeping zekken alive, he’s not a selfless player like that, he enjoys playing for himself especially back on MAD when he was the main duelist. He’s gonna be Sacy’s replacement, a notoriously selfless player (for obvious reasons lol), and I don’t think SEN are even going to consider changing their macro after the success they had this year to let N4RRATE do what he wants.

Having both Zellsis and Narrate together will be a flop. Just Zellsis is enough. Reduxx will replace N4rrate later, mark my words.
