it's so messed up
idk why but I get like 50 ping to Istanbul and one of my friends from Saudi gets like 100 to Turkey, even though Turkey is roughly in the middle between us.
And then for some reason he gets 80 to frankfurt?

I thinks the reason is how the marine cable are isolated, it seems Arabian Peninsula have a better ping on Frankfurt than on Istambul, only Greek, and Bulgarian can have a good ping there

in the past the best server we could play on was Paris with 50 ping, Dubai and Bahrain were +120, but now they fixed the routing we have the best ping on Bahrain, Dubai and after that paris averaging 60-70

Oh amazing, this is making a lot of sense, they splitted MENA and LNA for ping reason, LNA plays on Paris because of Mediterranean submarine cable while gulf play in MENA, they build new cable allow Egypt to play on MENA. But if LNA and MENA where existing because of cable, and now Egypt have a better ping on MENA than on Paris, then maybe Riot will have to rethink the split in 2, and in the future Egypt may go in GCCI (Meaning GCCI will become Middle East region), but well, tht would mean Magrheb is alone (I would support Maghreb being a part of French T2, for historic, cultural, ping and language reason)

I'm Egyptian, the ping is actually nice now for Egyptians and yeah we can play with GCC teams normally but I don't think the routing is good for the rest of North Africa, I'm not sure though. if they want to combine both regions then probably the North African region will die even more, Valorant had many fans before specially in Morocco but now it's dead because Moroccan orgs like Fox Gaming left Valorant :(

What if they make like polaris ? A tier 3 system per country ?

I'm conflicted about a potential merging of Middle East (Without Maghreb), that would probably mean the bests Egyptians team play against better teams, so progress faster. Maybe Magrehb should be part of France ? If we do like Polaris with a strong Tier 3 system and if we add an "ensure diversity rule" in T2 (That mean at least 1 team for Magrehb or even more), maybe that could make things better for everyone ?

I think it's too hard for Riot to do this since FR already is a strong competitive region you don't need to merge countries, even if they did I believe the whole tournament will be FR representation because Morocco needs time to get back on track

Thats why we need a mecanism that ensure we have at least one team from Magrehb, I think it should be the case in every T2 region
