Some org just buy their spots or smth bro they have 0 funding, they won fair and square but they’re not gonna do shit in Tier1 anyways
If a free agent team qualifies, they require an org to buy the team before they enter partnership. I believe I read from some val journalist back during the guard situation that Riot can actually refuse to enter a partnership with an org they don't trust, and require another team to buy the roster out for them to enter the partnership. I don't know if it would happen in this situation, probably only if some gambling website tried to make a team.
exactly? it gives players more leverage in negotiations, renewing their contract or not, and if that org is unlikely to be able to support them, it shouldn't lock the players into a shitty situation. the players should absolutely field offers from larger organizations that benefit them or their team environment. why are you pretending like players owe any org loyalty for playing under them?
Participating in a team sport means to join a community of staff, players, and fans who come together to make the team. It's not so much the players' work as much as it is that of the entire team. The staff that put work into coaching the players and coming up with strats, the players who win games and make the staff and fans happy, and the fans who are there to back the team through thick and thin. It's a team sport, not an individual one.
Unless I'm misreading your comments because it sounds like to me that you don't see a connection between players and teams/orgs.
