no like write something, then bolden some part of it, then try to write something else.

Yeah, if you Ctrl-B (or Ctrl-H, for that matter) it tends to break it sometimes. Refreshing fixes it but it's a little annoying

it's insanely annoying after i've written some long yappisode and i'm trying to sprinkle some ✨emotion✨
My recommendation is to just stick with keyboard characters:
- * for italics
- ** for bold
- ~~ for strikethrough
- # for headings
- ``` for code
- > for quotes
a good chunk of my notes are markdown so i'm familiar, it's just annoying
