What happened to Optic?

If I'm not wrong, they used to be one of the top orgs in the world.
Now I barely see them participating in anything. And when they are, they're rarely any good

Did something happen that I'm unaware about?

Didn't make franchising due to past org dealings with immortals/envy/optic weird org buying and dealings. CEO h3czs saw T2 as not worth it due to cost and only wanted to be in valorant if he was given franchising so pulled out especially after wining a major.

The Valorant team got washed and so they're got washed alongside them.

they only have two esports teams right now in CoD and Halo,

their CoD team just won a major and Worlds this year

their Halo team is top 4 and is competing in a major right now to lock in grand finals

Halo for sure is suffering hard in its 3rd year

but I think CoD has come back a lot especially this past year because of OpTic just carrying the viewership
