valorant lacks a tier 2 scene and more events wouldn't be a problem imo. While every game is worth more, it can lead to some teams having 10 games in a year. CS scene is just more natural tbf, and in 2025 it will get even better.
In my Opinion, Riot could add one cross-region event between Americas and emea and another one between China and APAC with all the teams. Name it VCT Rivals or whatever, just add more rivalry. As a prize you can have the teams from the winning region get one slot over their rivals. ( region which loses gets 3 slots only, regions which wins gets 5)
No one cares about other games. If you want to talk about other games then you can go to their forums. The way Valorant works is that we show up each year for 3 events plus minus some minor events, and then we resume our daily lives. I can understand if you are not familiar with that concept, unfortunate but understandable.
in cs if you are a decent team you at least make it through rmr since theres 24 spots in the major
in valorant there was only 2 teams per region qualifying to the first masters event and teams play single elim for that 2 spots. its so fucked. even for champions its 4 teams per region and only 16 teams for the biggest event of the year.
and in cs you didnt make it to major? its fine because theres 10+ other events that you can qualify to and get to play in a big stage
in valorant half of the franchised teams havent made it to any international event this year ffs. even tier 2 cs teams play tier 1 events here and there
Because Cheater Strike fans are 2 times more jobless than Valorant fans. You have to realize that we are mostly normal people and don't have the time to watch 500 games per year. The break periods allows us to function us human beings and participate in the real world, talk to other people. You guys should try it sometimes.
will it give one more event slot in August? So One inFebruary , 2nd in June, 3rd in August, 4th in October? CS also switches its structure, majors are now ending the season, not in the middle of it, no more franchising so invites are given via how good teams are, not how much their Orgs pay, more TOs and more regional events as well
