INCOMING YAP
Ok I will be making this prediction and analysis from a completely unbiased perspective.
The win against FPX was absolutely crucial for SEN. I don't want to hear all this shit now about how FPX is a bad team or that their comp was off yada yada. Don't move the goalposts just because your braindead prediction was wrong. FPX was a good team and they got beat, simple as that.
You could see SEN still starting off very slow. This win was crucial for SEN for the following reasons.
- It's a good energy boost for their next match.
- They can chalk up their losses to the deadlock comp rather than just not being good enough (which would've been a team killing thought.)
For the Gen G match, I think they are going to try and prioritize Raze maps for their picks and bans rather than choosing the ones they tried cooking for with the Deadlock comp. I think the maps will be the following:
SEN will ban Icebox
Gen G will ban Sunset
SEN Pick Lotus
Gen G Pick Ascent
SEN will ban Haven
Gen G will ban Bind
Decider Abyss
I think SEN will take the game 2-1 in a very very close match that could realistically go either way. SEN will start out slow again, and it'll look similar to the GF where it seemed like they were constantly fighting to crawl back up until Icebox.
The biggest factors here will be Sacy and Zellsis. Sacy has had a great tournament and if he can lead with the experience he has while performing at the levels he's performing, it will be a good game. Zellsis needs to continue being the rock of the team and just play consistent.
Gen G are in a very uncomfortable situation right now. They have all the pressure whereas SEN are playing with no pressure since everyone is expecting them to lose. GenG are being hailed as the best team ever, even better than FNC 2023 in some cases. This takes a mental toll, having to keep up the perfect image is an exhausting feat.
Regardless of who wins, its going to be a great fucking match dude. We are lucky to be able to watch such a hype matchup.
