excited for mixed teams in valorant
what r your thoughts
The only difference I can think of is reaction time, in which the difference is minimal. The reason game changers exists is not because women are worse at the game biologically, but because there are so few women that play FPS games seriously that few end up at high levels. Game changers is supposed to propel them to that level to empower more women and girls to get into Valorant.
not only reaction time but just reflexes/hand eye coordination in general, it is proven that men outperform women is these categories which are very important for FPS and even tho reaction time difference is "minimal" it is enough to make a huge difference, women are in a huge disadvantage in FPS. Honestly game changers might get more women to try to compete in valorant but it wont make help them get closer to mens level (imo it will never happen and its impossible) but playing in the open circuit probably wont either cuz they are at a biological disadvantage so its nice that they have their women only tournaments where they can all compete without disadvantages and see who are the best women players!
wont happen, at least good talented male players wont play in mixed teams, im afraid we will never see women ever play against high level male teams in first person shooters since most high elo players and players in general are men but specially high elo are men and men have better reflexes/hand eye coordination cuz of evolution, maybe in other games such as fifa, league(maybe? idk much about it) or other games where these are not that important. Also I dont really care about women in esports personally, I just seek sporting excellence I want to see the best players and the game to reach its maximun height, dont care about bullshit like mixed teams, also I dont like this idea of tournament organizers in these NA t2 events inviting a bunch of female teams instead of having them qualify through opens, they all got shit on as expected if they are not good enough dont force it, just invite the best teams possible and let the female teams make it through opens otherwise its unfair and a waste of slots
Let's put this into perspective where pro female gamers are concerned, I'm going to say this with out meaning to sound sexist I applaud the fact they will be embracing mix tournaments BUT HOW EVER I have been a follower of eSports since the late 90's and unfortunately for females they haven't been to the same standard of skill as males I don't think they will currently be a threat but im sure in time if mix tournaments continue they will be of a level of threat to T1 pro male teams, I do feel for the female community as they don't get half the recognisition they deserve but my personal opinion I don't think mixing them this early in this still young game will do their careers any favours (please don't hate on me I genuinely don't hate on female pros)
