have announced the departure of Jacob "pyth"
Mourujärvi.

pyth joined G2 as their third announced player and found great success in the early days of European Valorant, claiming multiple tournament wins prior to and through the Ignition Series.
But it was once the VCT circuit began in 2021 that the roster's results began to waver. A slew of early main event exits throughout Stage 1 and in Stage 2 Challengers 2 indicated that in order to compete at the very top, changes were needed. In June, G2 made multiple roster changes, bringing in an entirely new core of players and benching pyth, leaving Oscar "Mixwell" Cañellas as the only remaining member of the original lineup. In fact, pyth hasn't been seen in an official match since G2 played Team Finest in the LVP Rising Series #2 on June 6.
G2 were on the cusp of securing a spot at Valorant Champions, but were edged out by
