People say that if lev wins 1 series, sen will qual. Can someone explain it with the points system pls ?
I’m not sure I understand it
There are 4 spots per region. Three of those spots are taken by the Top 3 teams in the region's playoffs. The last spot is reserved for the team with the highest champions points. If a team has the highest points, and also wins the playoffs, they will qualify for the playoff performance spot, and not the points spot.
So currently Lev is the only team qualified. (Based on points)
If Lev wins a series, they will also qualify through playoff performance (The top three from each region's playoffs qualify)
This means Sentinels will qualify based on points. (This is because Lev will make it to champions based on standings in playoffs, and the reserved spot for championship points will remain vacant)
Sentinels have the highest points outside the top three teams, so they will take that reserved spot.
Don't G2 and 100T both have 11 points as well? Wouldn't that mean that if G2 win their next match vs 100T, and then lose in both upper final and lower final, they will end in 4th place in playoffs, with the same amount of points as SEN, but with a higher standing, meaning they take the spot at Champs for points?
EDIT: nvm I am slow, completely disregard this lmfao
