Champions 2024 China getting 4 slots

No offence towards Chinese players or fans but giving them 4 slots seems to me like there is same Chinese money flowing into Riot.
Last time on masters they got 3 teams in event. 2 didnt make it through Group stage (Swiss stage) and last team Edward Gaming was eliminated in two matches after being seeded in Play offs. They currently dont have 2 international teams not even 4. Edward Gaming has potential to make it towards semifinals but rest clearly not.
I think one or two theirs slots should have been given to other regions. Any thought?

I agree with you. But if anything limit it to 1 team and that being FPX cause I believe they are the only Chinese team to win an international game this year.

The showdown of the best teams
Not some League to practice competitive valorant
I think 2 slots are enough, but i hope they will suprise this event because since EDG solid performance last year it was bad

china needs internationals because they are so isolated to get better and test new ideas. wait a year or so they’ll be pretty close to the rest of the competition. how is china gonna improve with 1 or 2 slots compared to other regions??

Any major region should get the same amount of teams even if they aren’t good, slots shouldn’t be based on performance of a region. Probably won’t happen but in 3 years if China gets good and then NA sucks, I don’t think people on this forum will be complaining about NA slots. Look at league, NA and EU have sucked for years but they are still getting the same amount of slots to worlds etc.

I just hope the chinese teams that go to champs (looking at Trace and FPX in particular) improve off of their international experience and understand that the chinese style of valorant isn't going to get you far on the big stage. DRG have regressed after Shanghai and I honestly haven't seen a ton of improvement from FPX.
