iirc, shes a demon but she was able to somewhat turned herself into human? and she was able to not need to consume human flesh. she collecting blood samples of upper demons which contains a large amount of muzan's blood to analyze and figure out how to potentially cure/turn a demon back into human or smth. and tanjirou is helping her
