Boaster vs Other IGLs

Do we think Fnatic could be a top team in the world again if they had an IGL who was able to click heads better? I see Team Heretics with Boo and he just brings so much more to retaking a sight or fighting for a sight compared to Boaster who cannot win a fight consistently.

It's honestly debatable. Champs and especially next year will signify if the days of the "Brain and no Aim" IGLs will be over. With new talent like JohnQT, Boo, Valyn, Munchkin and others coming in, it's arguably becoming more and more difficult for the old IGL style to continue. But it also is a very duelist heavy meta at the moment so that might just be skewing how drastic things really are.

Yes, and no. A better mechanical player at the pro level will always be an improvement, and they would probably fair better, but Fnatic was top of the world with him already last year against relatively the same competition, so I don't think that's the reason. I think it's more so the coaching change, cause the team themselves look a lot sloppier and more indecisive than last year. All their players are still mechanically gifted, it's just more so they're putting themselves in bad situations. If you watch the Fnatic from last year, there was a clear plan almost every round of what they wanted to do, but now it seems like they've adopted a more reactive style.

You're right, i'd argue it got worse tbh lol. Every region is a 2-3 team league now (besides Americas).

How? last year Fnatic was EMEAs only good team and now this year they get outperformed greatly. Eg was Americas best and individually they arent allat except prime demon1 and jawgemo. Pacific had bunch of issues since prx was their best by FAR but many subs and issues. This year is way higher level of competition

Fnatic was the best team in the world, rest of EMEA wasn't that bad technically, just overshadowed (Liquid was pretty solid). And Americas was way higher competition, that LOUD team from last year would be undefeated rn, invented their own meta (harbor viper), and a team like EG were able to somehow be better than that. Pacific i'll give it to you is probably more competitive now, and honestly the talent is more evenly spread now across all leagues, but that just reiterates my point that the top competition level from last year is = to today's if not better. Just different teams (Heretics taking FNATIC/NAVI position, GenG replacing DRX, etc.)

that's what I'm saying. He's very inconsistent where one map he will go 10-9 (haven today) and then sometimes everything seems to go wrong with him.
