How does rating even work?

Benkai map 1 against bleed: 17-9 with rating 1.45
Benkai map 2 against bleed: 14-7 with rating 1.68
Same number of rounds and everything, but map 1 more kills and lower rating? Can someone explain this please? Is it because of kd ratio?

Also I'm really happy that benkai shut the twitter haters up with his performance today :)
