make the game more about gunplay than abilites?

I understand that is what made the game unqiue but more and more people are complaining that game is too focused on abilites and all it is now is people planting and spamming ablites and same with retakes
I think valorant is at a point where they need a MAJOR update that just changes everything, so should they nerf everyones abilites so people have to focus on gunplay more?

they already did that in 2022 if I'm not wrong, there was a massive update where they made almost every ability more expensive
