both was just good because they had the best support in their previous teams. especially penaldo was exposed when he went to juventus. he made the whole team so bad they still suffer from him. juventus never struggled in the league until penaldo arrived and messi quit football at least before 4 years. he is playing only whenever he feels like he wants it. you can clearly see in messis face he is just juicing a rich club rn and penaldo is trying to shine with his penalty record...

there are an insane amount of basketball for basketball especially in the United States, just in my small town there are like 10-15 youth teams and about 5 adult amateur leagues, and especially with the growth of Basketball around the world I wouldn't doubt that basketball has more players, considering how huge the US market is for sports the fact that football hasn't really caught on is a huge detriment for football

It’s the USA’s fault that football hadn’t caught on in America. Maybe if you guys had a reasonable league system with promotions instead of a franchised league where a team needs to buy in and there were more lower leagues with amateur teams it would grow. Also in my town of 160k there’s several amateur teams, several youth leagues and few professional teams.

the NBA, NFL, NHL, and kind of the MLB have all survived in a franchised league system, and 2 of these have become the world premier sports league in their particular sport, the NBA and MLB. The problem with football in the US is the oversaturation of the market, the NBA, NFL and MLB already dominate the entire sports calendar, there is no room for professional football in the American sports world. Also, the huge sports that all kids idolize in America are American Football and Basketball, which require drastically different skillsets than football. Football is kinda seen as this weird European sport that nobody other than Mexicans play.
