qualifications for playoffs?

so i see 100T & FNC won their games today and are going to Shanghai but there's still 7 other teams in their brackets and I'm just curious as to why they're still playing. Is there some sort of reward to whoever wins the Grand Finals? How many teams go to Shanghai? Do only the lower round losers get eliminated?

getting the #1 seed makes u directly qualify for playoffs at shanghai plus there 3 circuit points on winning regional

ohhh ok gotcha. I see on https://www.vlr.gg/event/1999/champions-tour-2024-masters-shanghai there's only 2 slots for NA, so other than the winner of the grand finals, who makes it? the team that lost?

im pretty sure its 3 teams from each region and thats bugged cuz PRX GENG and T1 qualled, the finals are only for circuit points, playoffs and getting to choose ur opponents

Grand finals winner goes straight to playoffs. America #1 seed is in the "playoffs" tab. #2 and #3 are in "Swiss stage"
