i think that short time is exactly what got them. having such a short turnaround and with johnqt's visa issues they barely had any time to practice and expand their small map pool for stage 1. although it doesn't magically excuse their entire performance, it's probably what kept them from winning some maps

nah their map pool massively improved after madrid , their icebox ascent and breeze were all ass at madrid with old comps
once they started perma banning breeze and their split / sunset / bind / lotus / icebox are all good with gekko , only ascent is a weak map for them

i just think valorant right now is very snowbally and very random
just look at pacific , T1 beat geng when we all know the 3 best teams are prx geng and drx

i honestly think they look waay better their scoreline suggests but that eg series is completely inexcuseable

GenG and Sen both finished group stage 3-3. All this proves is that this is a dogshit format that doesn't allow teams to rest and adapt if they go deep in masters. Sentinels were the best team in the world at the time and beat GenG on an unfavorable map pool.

No Masters or Champions are mickey mouse they are officially riot hosted events so they can not be

SEN, GMB, ACE, OPTC, FPX, LOUD, FNC, EG

All deserved their trophies cause they proved that they were the best teams for that current stage of the game and should be respected

Most of the hate should be towards the fans not the actual team/players cause they deserved their trophy and put in the most effort for it
