prove me wrong: this format isn't that bad

Been thinking about all the hate this format has been getting but I think it only seems bad because teams have been unpredictable or underperforming.

-It's not the format's fault that in EMEA one group has all of the teams that decided to be good.
-It's not the format's fault that SEN won't make it if Loud can't stomp G2. SEN screwed themselves losing to EG.
-The fact teams are having to rely on other results to go through is their own fault for not playing better in their own games.

Only thing I don't like is the instant knock out game for the first round of playoffs.

its crazy that kru werent in at 4-0 though

and its crazy how 3 of the teams on omega were turbo garbage at a certain point so yes format is kinda shit

You say that like these teams would do better in a different format though. Chances are the playoffs teams would be the same 6 teams and the bad teams would still be free wins like last year.

its the instant knockout why people are annoyed about the first point, if there was a lower bracket for first round of playoffs, the loser of navi vs th could easily make it.

format is shit because of the lack of time in between events. It was like a week and a half from the end of madrid to the start of stage 1. same thing will happen after shanghai too. that's the real problem with the format

Agree, format is good.
People just dumb to think that one game result will make a team absolutely better than the other.
So with the instant knockout first game, "they think" it's unfair for their better team gonna lose a chance to shanghai.

the problem here is:
navi or th will win, winner is obv better than the other. problem? loser is better than kc, fnc, and liquid, but at least one of these teams will make it regardless. emea doesn't send all of its best representatives, and hence format failed.

This is example of the "dumb" people that think one game is everything.
Just because they lose one / two game doesn't make that team is worse than other. There could be upset.
Maybe the two teams that goes to shanghai is KC and Liquid or FNC. So is it still valid that the three from omega better than Alpha?
There's uncertainty in valorant, enjoy the game.

might be biased (flair) but yh i agree, I think single elim is fine but should be BO5 maybe for all elim/qual matches. People will hate the format no matter what, there are always pros and cons, but for an odd number of teams I think this was the best they could do.
