eg is indeed cooking, but i just can't imagine they'll be able to make it out. eg are heavy antristratters(they couldn't even beat kru, which yes they're a really good team, but not the BEST itw), and i dont know if that can be used consistently. i could just be talking out of my ass

from a player perspective, i don't want to qual just so I can get a break and create new strats and shit, and if i do end up qualing, i probably wont make it far and that might have an impact on my mental

from an org perspective, i want them to qual so we can 1. get the prize money even if we come last, 2. generate hype and get more fans, 3. get people to buy merch

I imagine that if they made playoffs, they'd forget about everything that happened prior and have a mental reset. That attitude could carry them through playoffs but that's IF they even get there like you said.
