Masters and VCT slots

So here's my opinion on the current masters slot distribution and how can it be made better.

- Asia:Region is completely fucked up right now they get 6 slots and in masters 3 4/6 teams ended in worst possible and only 1 team making to playoffs,maybe make ASIA 2 regions
A)CN,KR,JP
B)SA,SEA,OCE

South Asia: As Global ended their run today,I think south asia is a good region and they can improve a lot if they get a official challengers and Play other Asian Region each Stage,idk why some people are suggesting a direct masters slot but that doesn't make sense to me because they lost to worst performing teams in masters,also a single team being good doesn't mean whole region is good(Gambit is good but CIS overall isn't very good right now it's growing)

- EMEA and NA: slots are in good spots doesn't really need any changes right now Turkey and CIS have good teams but not really enough competition.

- South America:I feel like you can merge BR and LATAM together it will overall increase the competitiveness of that region

All these changes are considering there can LANs easily organized without major issues

OCE deserves atleast 1 slot (not with NA) , its not okay the way it is

I wrote about OCE,they should be able to qualify through challengers with SEA and South Asia,I agree whatever current state of OCE is isn't how it's should be.

SEA and SA means huge ping for OCE though, OCE is too far to be played with any other region unless the region is Antarctica

if you merge CN JP KR i promise what you'll end up seeing is a homogenous scene where it's majority chinese/japanese organizations filled with korean players

shit happens in league, and if you want to use a more relevant example, it happened in apex legends too

in apex all the top teams in apac are sponsored by japanese orgs because they have the money but the rosters are all korean

Yup, this is it. Personally think Masters should be where every region can have at the very least one representative. That way it can grow the audience too in those countries.

yeah each region should have a chance for representation but giving a direct masters qualification to every country or every minor region isn't a good idea

I don't really think 3 slots for CIS are justified right now seeing how other CIS teams(except gambit) aren't really that good

I think if sa gets more slots in regional qualifiers then it would be really great, sa currently is not on the same level as the other regions ( slightly behind not like their is a big diff in skills ) I think there is lack of young talent with good exposure to intl events so like having sea sa and oce as a together will give a really good for them to grow same goes for oce

sea on the other hand I think some of the underperforming teams in their region might get filtered out in from the common region

cn jp kr I just hope it's not like cn-jp orgs with money and kr-players if u know u know

emea and na are in a rly good spot
I mean what else do u want

cis turkey top few teams are really good idk much about others
so I don't wanna say much about it

latam and br should have common qualifiers

oce 1 direct slot through challengers into masters because logistically lans may be complicated so everything being done in OCE is better. if South Asia cannot get a slot to masters the minimum riot should do is create a South Asian challengers which will merge with SEA to create an APAC playoffs.

If Asia is gonna be merged into 2 regions, they should probably have separate challengers and merge for challengers playoffs. That way it showcases different regions separately and prevents things like cn and jp orgs just poaching all the kr players

The regions are fine,so most of them have representation in the masters and Champions (f Oce and MENA), dont need to merge them, even separating LAN from LAS there is a lot of difference in level and a lot of distance to play the finals and then change slots, some regions deserve more and others less

masters slots: KR2 SEA2 JP2 to APAC 6
2-4 teams from each region including SA and OCE (maybe China also?) compete in playoff

If APAC North (CN/JP/KR) becomes a thing they will have as many slots as NA

playerbase wise theyre equal to NA
viewership wise they will be bigger than NA

I'm assuming that this is in a post COVID scenario? Otherwsie who knows how long it will be before the world fully opens up to the point that we can have LAN tournaments for all masters tourney's. If you're talking about current climates then having OCE playing with the Asia region is rough considering they already fucked up getting their visa's for Berlin.

oce should have its own seeing it would just have 1 spot.
Latam and Br should bne combined for playoff spots but seperate online seeing the ping difference wouldnt be good, playoffs being on lan like lcq would be good
