visa issues i get, but that's no ones fault. lets use riens as an example. riens couldn't play on stage cuz he had visa issues for kickoff. if we use both of your arguments, it takes 2 hours to go from turkey to berlin, but he couldn't go due to visa issues. do you expect riot to create an entirely separate region just for turkey? that makes no sense.

ALSO, viewership. 4 regions is hard enough to keep track of and now you want to create another one? the only reason china got one was because they have A BILLION PEOPLE. brazil only has 215 million. yes you guys have a great fanbase, but it's just not the same. also, how do you factor in ascension?? do you want to create a china situation where the teams have almost no time and the entire thing is rushed?

im sorry, but 1 billion people is more than 217 million people, right? brazil has probably the most passionate fanbase which is what i meant when i said great fanbase, but the numbers are nowhere near the same as china

i meant brazil is self sufficient in every esport scene it is inserted, its not like Riot needs to put any (new) effort in our ecosystem, also comparing a 2h flight from turkiye to wherever doesnt compare to the 12h+ flight from Sao Paulo to LA

i mean it's like 12 hours from where i live to la so the distance isn't an argument. visa issues, maybe. my main point was the visa issues thing and that was my whole point with the riens thing. brazil may be self sufficient, but atm it's getting more exposure than it would if it had it's own league. you can definitely make an argument about tier 2 since didn't the union pull out bc they didnt find it a good an investment? what you want is how it was prefranchise which i dont really like since i literally have never heard of any of the teams besides the ones that have gone to international events

there are some people into it but they are mostly in the mobile gaming side of it, because its more easily available since people will have phones more than they have a pc or laptop that can game.

EDIT: also you arent wrong abt the whole engineering and IT part cus as far as i know esports isnt considered a job here and not supported by elders
