So wippie is gone and it appears jakee is gone too (he has been streaming everyday for awhile since tweeting about something) and the rumors are there are advanced talks with moose and runi. I don't know how to feel about these changes if they are true. Wippie wasn't really the issue on C9 and wasn't bad (or great) during kickoff/preseason events, but with him being dropped I got some hopium thinking maybe this roster had the chance to sign some real star power. That hope quickly vanished when I just skimmed through the market on who we could pick up and the odds of c9 picking up panacada were slim. Looking like jakee getting bench is tough such a young talent that has a chance to develop on a supporting role is such a rare thing I can't really see a reason to him being gone. If moose were to come in I'm not super sure what to expect I haven't seen him play in so long but when I did he was decent, and runi I know what to expect and just not sure if I trust him. runi doesn't mechanically wow me and listening to an interview with mce have my doubts on his ability to shine in big moments. I'm really just anxious with mce and leaf leaving to start, then the new roster, the highs of 5 maps on fanatic, to dropping the ball in kickoff, to these roster changes c9 has me emotional exhausted.
C9 Runi and C9 Moose?
That’s my exact thought about this predicted roster. I saw a vid of Fns saying the problem with Cloud9 is they need that guy which leaf was last year. Oxy looks like he will be but still needs time and getting rid of Jakee a rising player and wippie who wasn’t doing too bad is just weird. Moose needs to pop off for this team to succeed as I don’t see runi being the one to step up and be that guy.
they do and they don't need that. theyve relied on leaf go kill strat for so long now and it was their greatest strength and weakness, if leaf got two they most likely could secure the round but sometimes leaf would just be sent to his death. It's no fault of leafs he an intelligent amazing player but i feel like teams could easily anti strat for it. I think the system needs to change particularly protocols watching team comms the team seems to be super flowy and I think more patience would help them catch more timings while maximizing utility of players before they are/needed to be traded.

I've said this before but the problem with c9 is that the don't have the spark that makes a good team, it's not that the quality of the players are particularly bad, it's just that together they don't make a great team. Maybe behind the scenes Wippie and Jakee are the ones that don't allow for that spark, so they're trying to see if Runi and Moose will bring it. That is one thing mCe was really good at doing, finding players who have that spark to be good together, and that's why they did so well, at least in the regular season last year.
