With 8 teams the format can't work with 4 in group stage and 4 in playoffs, so it should just be the 8 teams battling out from the start
it'll either work like champs in 2021 with single elim (hope its not cuz that is stupid) or like any other normal tournament with double elim. just think of playoffs as group stages with single elim basically.
