I've never really had waffles so I think pancakes are better (I eat them around around 0.6 times per year on average).

french toast is very good but a well topped waffle clears so hard. while we are on the topic, crepes are also way better than pancakes so waffles >> french toast > crepes>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> pancakes.
