Sacys sova is insane which is why its even more insane that he only has 1 win in franchise on sova-however the reason for this does not lie with him, but with the other agents-or in this case agent- that comes with playing sova....Jett.
Sen dont have a good Jett player, weve all seen sideshows video on Tenz and know why he isnt as good as he used to be, and neither is zekken. Zekken is a good player playing jett rather than a good jett player, his riflijng is insane, and since her knives/util isnt hard to learn, he appears to do well...untill he picks up the op. Zekken cant op, I think ive seen him whiff more times than anyone else in the entierty of VCT. When Zekken cant op consistently, something that is a necessity on Jett on maps like breeze and ascent (the only maps where Sacy plays sova) his team cant win. Think back to sacys first win on sova yesterday....Zekken opped good for once, he hit some shots. Every other time Sacys been on Sova he hasnt. Thats the difference maker.

true he is terrible with the awp.
on xset it was cryo that was on awp duty.
in '23 tenz was on duelist awp, and '23 for tenz was tough. and zekken was flexing.

zekken just picked up the duelist role in late season '23 when tenz was subbed out. maybe as he play more duelist awp, he get better. thus they can get more value from the sova.

Is using the operator really that essential? I've never really thought that oping was a necessity regardless of the map, obviously it's pretty good, but I don't think that you NEED to use it.

Is essential if your team isn't elite

I think that's a pretty harsh threshold, "elite" is a bit much in my opinion. I think that teams should just cater towards what works for them and if utilising the operator is something that doesn't, then don't pursue that playstyle. Zekken is a far more talented, aggressive, yet refined rifle player - keep pursuing that. If they really want to utilise the op, surely that's something TenZ can pursue, I don't think it needs to be on Jett though; maybe Omen as an alternative.

A team needs a designated op player. But with how this game goes, the agent being used with the op really doesnt matter. But the op technically is more efficient with players that can get one and go (Jett, Raze, Reyna, Neon, Yoru, Omen, Chamber). If anything, op duty should go to TenZ (but only for situations where its needed).

yo dont NEED to use the awp. he awp is an answer to something. if they have an exec, if they have a strat, if they have a comp, that need to be stopped before they can do anything, you buy the awp. the power to stop what the opponents are cooking is essential.
that's why you rarely see attacking awps, it is more of a defensive weapon. that potential first pick is what makes the awp so powerful.
