Why do ya'll love hating on your only indian representation in franchise?
Whats the point of being a fan of a team if you cant handle them when they go through rough times..
brother we dont care if u loose 13-0 ever map but do it with an indian team dont waste money importing random eu players to represent us then pull up with the worst comps like just viper on bind ???
it would be so much better with a 1-2 imports and 3-4 indian players that way we actually grow the scene in india cuz players look up to someone and we have more orgs build up our tier 2-3 scene
we want ge to do well we want them to represent india and do it well not have indian banner and 4 non indian players
we have players like deathmaker who absolutely clear polvi and a lot of other duelists in apac league
we want them to represent us cuz they are our nations talent not europian no hate to polvi of course hes good
This is exactly why
They have such a difficult job of trying to make everyone happy
When they have a 5 man indian roster people will shit on them for being the worst in the league
and if they try something new by getting imports and trying to create a competitive team they get shit on either way
And its not gonna help when their entire fanbase just criticises their every decision
lets use actual sports as an example.
Tottenham Hotspurs. They had 2 good players in Harry Kane and Heungmin Son.
They looked alright during their run with them, but only to be 8th in the Premier League.
Detroit Pistons. They pick up great talent in Cade Cunningham, Jaden Ivey etc.
They have great potential, but still bottom of the Eastern Conference.
We hear their fans revolting to the org to do this, to do that, but all we hear from the orgs is "trust the process".
trust the process. thats it. thats all fans need to understand. Its literally the second year of franchising. GE being franchised shows that Riot Games trusts what GE is going to cook up, even if results take longer than usual.
Because esports orgs are already going through heavy losses including the successful ones. At the end of the day GE is a business, they wouldn't spend money on something they don't believe in. Nobody including the players believe that they will win on international stage.
You think he has unlimited cash flow? Sure the indian scene might not develop but I wouldn't go bankrupt to nurture the scene, clearly there should be a better way other than the org going bankrupt
OCE? OCE has shown more growth than India. autumn? now in FPX. pl1xx? now in Wolves Esports. How has 2 non-chinese speaking players managed to get into franchising and showcase great performance? What has India given to the valorant scene? SkRossi? in T2. Lightningfast, always middle of the pack in his team.
Look even if GE represents the region as a whole they are the one to represent India and Riot is marketing GE as such. I get why Indians would want to have a majority Indian roster its because they have been told that GE represents India.
You may not like the nationalism around certain teams but to a lot of people that is what's important to them and that's why they want THEIR teams to succeed and even if they don't get a high placement in the Pacific league at least the experience is there so they share it to their fellow Indian teams that they would be (possibly) leading in the future.
Give us an example of an "on paper" winning roster with good imports and coaches.
Give us an example of 5 indians with good coaches.
If you can, and can actually back up what you are trying to say, then ill believe you.
But if youre gonna be that guy on twitter than uses tracker over vlr stats, saying useless shit, then dont respond
I've never understood that second option. If the Indian players are not up to snuff, nothing good will come off it. what experience do they get that they won't get in VCSA? 12 stage matches? If you're playing in GE you're the type of player that is going to make VCSA playoffs anyways, you will get LAN practice. the only real argument is they may get better quality scrims against other APAC teams on lower ping in KR. the downsides? they are going to get fucking battered by people across all the social media platforms. Their confidence will be fucking wiped by the end of the season. It's going worse than the average team by virtue of all the noise surrounding GE.
There are only positives from a PR perspective for GE if they had Indian player(s) in the their roster, I'm sure they must have trialled the top prospects from the scene. If they were good enough as of right now they would be on the roster. The fans don't even realise that VCSA has one of the best formats from a player experience perspective, the tops teams will get to play in THREE LANs(split 1 cup 1, split 1 cup 2, and split 2 playoffs). For upcoming players it's the best place to grow.
It's not about 1indian player on the team of 5indian players losing or the team winning.
It's about
Almost everything is clickbait and scam bait from the organisation, and their market and promote themselves as the best team winning everything. Fans are fed up with their ways and expect them to win or invest in what the fans deem right(like yay).
i think there are some reasons and i will try to point it out-
Firstly, India is a developing country and there are so many players introduced to the game during covid time and having such a large population there is only one indian player playing . I am not saying they are bad or anything but they haven't had a pc gaming scene like other regions.
secondly, other regions like south korea, singapore , japan and indonesia have 2-3 teams competing in franchise and they definitely deserve it but you can see the population ratio clearly
thirdly, there is only one way indian players can play international is through GE. Ascension being other option but not truly the main glory .
Now, as GE there are two options-
1 - take international players and perform well
2- Take 5 indian players and try to make them experience . Eventually , they will start winning getting and we get a great esports scene for future generations.
GE is trying number 1 - but their is some problem either with the coach or management cause we can see texture performing super well rn and past player of GE are dominating right now.
how hard is it to understand WE DONT CARE gE HAVING FOREIGN PLAYERS AS LONG AS THEY KNOW HOW TO PLAY i mean look at sg org prx having no sg player but insane foregin players and why tf do all the other teams get these insane underrated talemts like jemkin karon and all and what we get is polvi and ruuss
