If they lose to Zeta they are out.... if they beat zeta, zeta will save strats and not even try against gen g and secret dont qualify
Dont understand why gen g get an unfair advantage but T1 will beat them so its fine

everyones so caught up on bad formatting and stuff but no ones acknowledging that korea is finally taking over the pacific league. there is now almost over 75% chance that at least one korean team is guaranteed to go to madrid, which is insane.

Not really, considering Korea is by far the strongest region in APAC and always has been. So, I'm not sure why you think they are 'finally' taking over the league. In terms of Korean skill, it looks similar to last year, and Korea has more imports this year.

both GenG and T1 were middling in the league until the end of the regular season, especially after GenG just flopped after their first 5 games. now T1 looks to be second in the league and geng is top 5 minimum, while last season T1 was comfortably 3rd/4th while GenG was 6th or 7th. Korea looks a lot stronger this season.

Why are you bringing up the one time when T1 wasn't in the top 3? These stats are all cherrypicked and you are not looking at the actual standings, which are the data that matter.

tell me what i cherrypicked? is it not true that T1 was not top 4 even at the beginning of the year? and yes, by the end they were top 3 but geng was 6th or 7th? now T1 looks on the same level as PRX with their changes, and it looks like GenG will make playoffs. thats why i think korea is a lot stronger in the pacific league this year than last year.

bro I can't anymore. Do you even know what cherry picking data is?

yes i do. im open to change my mind if you give me the data that contradicts what im saying. but instead youre going to back off? after all, its only my opinion and i feel like the data that i can see supports my point. if you show me that it doesnt then im ok with changing my mind. i asked you what i cherrypicked and your response is "i cant anymore".

Your argument is valid and your points are valid and are true but your conclusion is not sound.

I understand your point about T1's early performance but it's important to consider that whilst T1 may not have been in the top 4 at the beginning of the year, they ended last year in 3rd place. DRX ended in 2nd, and GenG in 4th. By focusing on early
season standings, youre not considering how teams can improve over the course of a season. Looking at the end of year data gives a better idea of the korean teams performances.

korea's populations are just a fraction of asian gamers. its just a proof how privilege gamers in korea is, they even have college for esports athletes. (im so jealous as south east asian)

what about me😭. OCE gets like 0 chances for international play and even our challengers. This is the case in most games for OCE apart from a few exceptions like fortnite and apex

at least you guys can adapt easily in EU/NA orgs. most orgs tend to seek talents from english first speaker afterall

this hasnt happened at all so far though (apart from some coaches) instead, the chinese region picks up all our major talent and so the chinese on the team have to speak english instead of mandarin

I don't think this is a big variable but the Korean teams have home court as well. Kinda like but not as bad as the Brazil crowd.
