Demon1 is American
Just because it doesn't make sense to you, doesn't mean it's not used over here so don't need to call people stupid. It's ethnicity-nationality over in the US. Why? Because diversity. If they don't wanna label themselves as just American, they'll say what their ethnic origin is even if they were born in the US.
how? the united states is very very diverse unlike the south american countries, so some people call themselves ethnicity-american to keep their ethnic traditions or highlight their ethnic traditions. It is also like this in European countries say England, but instead of "asian-british" they just say asian.
Brazil has the largest Japanese, Ukranian, Lebanese populations outside their countries, South of Brazil and Argentina are mostly people with Italian/German surnames. Saying there is no diversity only shows up u have no idea what ur saying. But in the end my comment wasnt even meant to be rude lmao, I just said the 2 country identity is a USA thing and it really is lol, you dont see people in SA saying "I'm Brazillian-Italian" or whatever the fuck
I am not saying that Brazil isn't diverse, I am saying that a lot of the south american countries aren't as diverse as the US meaning that they don't have any first gen immigrants especially in the recent population. Take the japanese for example. They migrated to Brazil during the mid and early 1900s, so from then to now they have assimilated heavily to Brazilian culture and a good amount of them consider themselves fully Brazilian. Since America has a lot of 2nd gen and 1st gen immigrants, they tend to celebrate their culture a lot more so they say that they are "Asian-American" or stuff like that, but after some time people only tend to call themselves just "Americans" such as babysasuke because of assimilation and the mixing/loss of cultures when going down the family tree.
