Nova Esports announce VCT roster, neveR joins

UPDATE: As of January 15, 2023, Nova Esports have announced their VCT CN roster. neveR joined the team in December 20, 2023. This article has been updated to reflect the current roster.

Nova Esports Nova Esports China Rank #6 o0o0o Ye Xiaodong (叶晓东) SWERL Ali Kobraee CB Wang Qingchuan (王庆川) Ezeir Zhao Zejun (赵泽骏) GuanG Guang Honglin (光洪霖) have announced their VCT China roster including Russian import Vsevolod "neveR" Suslov.

neveR joined his first-ever professional team, Team RA'AD Team RA'AD MENA Rank #3 Shalaby Mohamed Shalaby Shniider Yousef Osama chrollo Omar Hussein Depyro Nour Sherif SkaNoodles Yousef Mohamed Yassien Yassien Ahmed , in January 2023. RA'AD found immediate success and dominated their regional competition, winning VCT MENA North Africa Split 1. They continued to be a powerhouse, with a back-to-back in Split 2. However, neveR was subsequently moved to the substitute role and later left in July.

Nova Esports entered the Chinese scene in March 2023. Their first competition was qualifying for FGC Invitational Act 1, which they could not do. Nova found little success throughout the year; they were consistently eliminated in open qualifiers in all competitions, including the VCT Champions China Qualifier, save for a win against Invincible Gaming Invincible Gaming China Rank #22 Penge Artill .

On December 10, 2023, Nova were announced as one of 11 teams participating in the upcoming VCT China League. They made their first roster move on December 20, 2023, by signing neveR, then added Guang "GuanG" Honglin (光洪霖) from Royal Never Give Up Royal Never Give Up Inactive HaTo Wang Rui (王睿) 4ErWa Xiaonuo on January 14, 2024.

GuanG was good for RNG, but the other three are just not good enough to compete with the other rosters imo. Unless neveR does a vo0kashu and carry with Russian magic, I don't know if we will see too much from them.

I watched most of Raad games and unless Falltw speaks Egyptian they were coming in English. Which means he probably has the exact same language barrier this year than he did last year unless he has been full time studying English.

If he had tests and school idk, hope you’re right and that was hurting his performance, would love to see him succeed. Maybe he’s a monster on scrims, but as I said what we saw on Raad was not good at all
