SSD for Valorant

Is a SSD necessary to play?
Cuz i still use a HDD and i cant play DM because the maps dont load. Also every first round its a stuttering mess because things are loading '-'

I thought SSDs were only useful for those who play open world games ._.

no ssd just have faster load time
its beneficial but not obligated to
my dell optiplex 9000 can run this game on 100 fps anyways (speaks levels)

Ssd should be a requirement for modern gaming. It decreases loading time so much and makes everything run smoother.

Well, SSD is not necessary at all as long your Windows is not on the SAME disk storage as Valorant.
If you have two HDD one for windows and another one for programs it would be fine tbh.

valorant is not really necessary to have SSD. I have 7200rpm 2TB and It can run fine
Normally I use my main SSD nvme to windows and some programs and another 2TB SSD sata for video editing, and this one HDD 2tb for games and some stuffs and I have 0 issue on loading times. (since my windows is not on it)

The only issue HDD has is having Windows + Games on the same HDD.

any 7200rpm or 10000rpm HDD would be fine for Valorant, CS, etc. (But some heavy games it can reduce loading times soo much)

windows and games together doesnt affect anything. just boot time for windows is significantly lower. why would you even have 2 hdds? 1 ssd is more efficient than 2 hdds.

Nah, I'm just saying that he can use one small SSD for windows and one HDD for Valorant and it would run fine. (If he has no money to buy one 512gb or 1tb SSD)

if u dont play triple A games u dont need to put ur games on ur ssd
256gb is more than enough
windows is like 40 gb

maybe my hdd is too old or something idk
but when i find a match, valorant stop responding and disk usage sky rocket to 100%
I can play competitive normally, but DM doesnt load

se tu tiver usando um hd de 5000rpm e usar o windows junto isso vai acontecer mesmo, principalmente se teu HD tiver mais de 50% preenchido.

it might reduce your loading time and real time texture load but other than that, old HDD is fine.
i still store majority of my games in my 10 years old 1TB HDD.
