Why rendang is so good, I want to make it from scratch with nasi lemak
Just made it and taste a bit different because I dont have all the spices
Rendang is a Minangkabau dish. It is a rich dish of meat that has been slow cooked and braised in a coconut milk seasoned with a herb and spice mixture over a period of several hours until the liquids evaporate and the meat turns dark brown and tender, becoming caramelized and infused with rich flavours
tbf theres so many variations of it, they all derived from the minang stuff but theres variations in java being weirdly sweet, borneo, some chinese mixed ppl or peranakan put in pork, and definitely melaka
its a dish very important for us all and if any westerner insults it all indos and malays will unite lmao
