I was thinking about developing a website like vlr/hltv but for lol esports since the only thing we have is a subreddit
what do you guys think?

wouldn't it be kinda hard to bring in ppl since the subreddit is already so huge? It would be nice to have a forum-like site instead of reddit tho
but imagine seeing teams like T1 or GENG (exSamsung galaxy) and their achievement section tho, it'll be sick asf
im actually surprised league never had an hltv-like website despite being such a huge esport lol
There are a few LoL website that are kinda similar but without the forums.
factor.gg , this one has articles
gol.gg , this one has a lot of historic data.
websites like dot and dexerto already have a lot of league coverage, and riot's own platforms + liquipedia are enough, making a lol-centric website basically pointless. surrender@20 is dead, for example. but trying wont hurt, who knows! if you can do something the others arent doing, it'll make your idea more valuable
That's precisely the point. What I want is to do something different, something like VLR or HLTV; a place for the community to interact + see news + information about teams + other possible features. All in one.
I agree. whenever I try to search simple info about league esports it's extremely hard to find anything. i'd love a league version of vlr
I'm a fullstack PHP dev, if you need help with anything, please DM me, i'd love to help.
ps: I'm just one year working as dev, so i'm not very experienced. I try to follow strict coding standards and semantic commits tho
please man, hate having to navigate through that sub to discuss anything about lol esports. a hltv-like website is just way better for that
