If people attribute a lot of Yay's misfortune in DSG down to bad systems and structure, what's to say this won't repeat in 2024?
It's unlikely he would be picked up by a top team from 2023.

It appears we are entering a Raze meta.
Yay's agent pool consists of mostly off meta agents (unless jett/chamber stays/become meta).
He has yet to record a single VLR official map on raze.

It lunacy to say he would instantly become the best player if he played in VCT 2024, so many different undecided factors could prevent it from happening.

just because someone hasn't played an agent yet doesnt mean they cant learn that agent. yay has been cooking real good with raze recently. people can expand their agent pool

Yes but it means he's less likely to be as good as someone who has had more experience at the higher level on raze.
Raze has a high skill ceiling which will take a lot of time to master. Loads of small tricks and movement techniques to squeeze the most value out of her kit.

I would say there's a higher chance that Yay would have more success on a sentinel role than a entry-duelist role for next year.

as a duelist, initiator, or controller hell no. He would do nothing in Tier 1 valorant on any of those roles

but as a sentinel? I'm inclined to say maybe. He is still the best Chamber in the world, who's to say he cant replicate that on agents with similar playstyles like Killjoy and Cypher

"do nothing in tier 1 valorant" you guys forget that at the end of the day 1 bullet to the head and you're dead, even if yay has horrible utility on majority of characters (which I don't believe is true), his aim alone would make him an upgrade to most tier 1 teams

was the most consistent carry out of anyone

every duelist needs some form of a support system and people to close out rounds. im not sure what youre expecting yay to do when the team is losing 5v1 postplants and nonstop 5v3s lol
