It's odd though.
You think they could just play the Coupe de France with a potential standin instead of just releasing Kadvra.

It does seem like he must be very close to signing with a vct team

It's not that odd, for example Case coach was saying the other day how Link was about to sign with them when he got called to do tryouts with KOI, so they just signed number 2 of the list instead of waiting because they really wanted to close out the team soon. Teams wanna have the finalized roster asap
