Reported by @anonimotum: Team Vitality 🇫🇷 has reached a verbal agreement with Kimmie "Kicks" Laasner 🇪🇪
So who is Kicks?
Kicks is a 17 year old Estonian flash initiator/flex player who has played in multiple EMEA challenger leagues and teams.
Team History:
-
He first emerged on the scene playing in an international mix called the international five during epic32 online group stage back in January of 2021 when he was at the age of 15.
-
His first proper stint with a team was with the Human tripwires playing along side RobbieBk.
They played numerous tournaments together including a deep run in the VCT Europe Stage 1: Challengers 2 Open qualifiers before falling to G2 Esports 2-1 in the final qualification game
The team quickly regrouped and qualified for the inaugural season of the VCL Polaris, this led to the team being picked up by London Esports.
London Esports finished the Polaris season with a 2-5 record and Kicks ended the season with a 1.01 rating. -
In the following season of Polaris, Kicks was picked up by Team Finest playing alongside bonkar.
The team had a strong showing finishing the regular season with a 5-2 record and finishing 2nd place in the playoffs, missing out on the VRL Finals.
Statistically wise, Kicks had a great season with a 1.11 overall rating as he primarily played initiator for the team. -
BONK!
Due to Team Finest parting ways with the roster, bonk was formed out of the core of kicks-destruct1ve-bonkar with the additions of juseu and keiko
The team had great success in the off season events, winning the G-Loot VALORANT Clash - Showdown and making the grand finals of the Coupe De France before falling 3-1 to mandatory
Kicks remained on BONK as they kept their spot in Polaris going into Split 1 of the 2023 season, though the team did change with Keiko being picked up by apeks and DESTRUCT1VEE going to fire flux, Chiwawa and Seider were picked up for the split.
Though the team ended the split with a 3-4 record narrowly missing the playoffs, this was another hugely successful tournament for Kicks who had 1.16 rating in the tournament. -
Due to BONK disbanding, Kicks was picked up by Laterious alongside his teammate Seider to compete in Split 2 of VCL DACH.
The team ended the split with a 0-2-5 record, 5 draws due to the format being best of 2s, missing out on playoffs.
Kicks ended the split with 1.04 rating playing as the teams flash initiator.
