i really hope kaplan keeps him on a flash initiator/omen or astra flex. I was advocating for him to get on viper but yea it wouldn’t fit his play style.
duelists going to smokes has worked a lot. (demon1, jawgemo, koalanoob, cryo, etc.) and it would be needed on maps like lotus where a sentinel + two smokes are needed

its possible that no duelist comps might be becoming meta on maps with double controller and double initiator, plus tenz would do better when playing a lurking duelist/solo duelist like reyna or yoru where he plays disconnected from the team and tries to get a pick or 2 on the other side; that is how he primarily has had his best performances as a duelist since marved being in the team
Yeah, but it doesn't make sense to make TenZ learn two entirely new roles for him, when all you could do is switch Sacy to smokes for a few maps. It's a minimal change and it allows TenZ more practice on the agents he's trying to learn. Also, if Sacy is really that bad at smokes, you can just pick those two maps as your preferred bans.
It's not about bothering. TenZ style doesn't suit controller or sentinel but it doesn't really matter. Any player could play any agent just depends on how they incorporate him into the comp. Any argument about this is just foolish but if you ask what's ideal then just put tenz on flash initiators cz that's comfy for him and he already has to play multiple roles next year( duelist on double duelist comps, OP in chamber comps, flash initiators main). So already he has a lot on his plate, no need to over burden him with another new role.
