fns had a roster of
yay (best player itw),
marved (top 3 smoker itw) ,
crashies (atleast best ini NA),
victor(best flex itw) to do that optic '22 run

fns in NRG after he loses yay and marved. (marved has almost been replaced by as good of a player in form of s0m)
but fns's placement in internationals with nrg ->

1) lock in - 5-8th
2) 4th at tokyo

hmmmm....
i wonder who does this story actually match to

Boaster in '22, with a very solid roster,
had to do forced changes after masters 1 replacing brave and magnum
then got alfa

boaster placement in '22 ->
1) 4th in copenhagen
2) 5-6th in champs

boaster once he got better teammates -
1) 1st lock in
2) top 2 masters tokyo

PS: boaster and fns have literally the same stories but in different years. fns was definitely the best igl in 22, and is still very good
but people fail to give the same credit to boaster, often put all the credit of success to his strong team. his igling has been optimal, his midrounding has been perfect throughout this year.
you agree or disagree, i will not replace boaster for any other igl in the world <3.

Derke and Boaster were on the team from the start; Alfa was picked up as a Tier 2 player, Leo was picked up with very little international experience. Chron was the only established high level player they bought.

Teams just upgrade their players, plain and simple.

No one flames FNS for "giving up" on mummay or kaboose.
If there are players you think are better and available that fit your team/system, go get them.

they became a superteam after winning, no one regarded yay as the best player in the world DURING or BEFORE reykjavik, do not flip the narratives for your pleasure

also optic did not buy insane players right before their run, they MADE them insane from ENVY point and onward, fnatic bought chronicle, and leo as they were regarded as great players in emea, chronicle being the most decorated player at that time and still is

it can look kind of coincedental that as soon as boaster got great players, he started winning everything, whereas fns did not have instant success, the whole optic team gradually became better

Huh? Yay was known to be a beast right from his time at andbox. He got the moniker el Diablo from his time there. And on envy, he was one of the best players even at Berlin. U are very wrong about that. Crashies and Victor were the only "non proven" players on optic/NV.

Leo was in same situation as yay. Known to be a beast but not on a great team. Also chronicle was not the most decorated player at that time. He had 1 trophy. He became the most decorated with fnc. Also chronicle is also the player who didn't make a single international event in 2022 btw. He was known to be amazing but never regarded as best in his role in 2022. Same with leo
