The dude had to be an IGL (In-Game Leader) because he was the most experienced person, let's not forget he was the IGL for Team Liquid. In the LCQ season, he became an IGL with a very accurate decision, but with one difference this time: he doesn't control everything entirely; he also listens to his teammates and plays the game accordingly. If you want an ego-driven person, you can throw shade at the bot named Cum1.

platchat talked about it around lcq time i think... scream was given basically all the power when building the KC roster, he could chose a coach, players, etc.
he wanted to IGL, hence he IGLd.. so picking an IGL didnt make sense for them at that time.
lets say u build a team around fns, picking johnqt wont make sense. get it?
it wasn't even just platchat, lots of leaks and reports of KC looking to sign enzo. Then scream was stubborn on being IGL himself, and management decided not to get enzo in the end.
Also at LCQ this year scream became IGL again instead of ze1sh. Managment and ze1sh couldn't even stop him because he was being an arrogant asshole about it, and then they failed miserably again cuz of it 💀
About KC tho, apparently they are rebuilding which we already know but there is also a very important detail. They are NOT going full French, probably still good have several French pieces and probably sign Enzo, but they are looking to go international and also looking into tier 2 for their options
