Turned arguably the worst team in Americas into the best team in the world, after everyone doubting her because of sexism.
Bro said mini LMFAOOOOOOO
that guy is such a fraud, everyone comes at boaster when mini was the guy that held them back during chamber meta because he refused to adapt, he only started winning because he got 3 of the best players in the world on his team, and now instead of innovating further he just sits on his ass and expects the team to just stay on top with raw firepower then acts surprised when teams like loud and drx build counters and anti strats and can take maps off them/knock them out of the tournament
Sure because it's that simple. Such a silly take. Demon1 is extremely gifted but we've seen plenty a time where extremely gifted individuals aren't able to shine without the right system to set them up. And what about the other four players? Ethan sure but the other 3 were literally thought of as trash prior to and for a significant portion of the season. This team didn't magically come together because of Demon1. It was all their efforts but absolutely at the forefront was great coaching from potter and other EG staff.
Nonsensical to think otherwise.
?
This take is just factually incorrect. Prior to Demon1, they went 12/24. After demon1 they went 16/24. The wins in the prior section were literal tier2/3 mix of teams. The 16 wins after his arrival are against tier1 teams in their current Cinderella story.
To just attach your bias take to how you think things work in the world is just weird. Legit brainwashed.
Not brain washed. And look who's talking about bias. As if just listing their stat wins over total games actually gives appropriate context to what they've accomplished. The teams they've faced this year are on a completely different level to the teams they faced as a squad last year. The addition of two players, no matter how skilled, do not make a squad improve this dramatically. It's obvious potter has played a big part. Idk how you can be so delusional.
You're the brainwashed one.
edit: keep that same energy and the potter slander up tho, I'm sure with time, people's assessment of her value as a coach will just be proven even more and more
I'm sorry I'm not following your opinion here. If Potter was the difference maker then why did it all of a sudden happen when Demon1 joined the team? Once again here are the facts, 12/24 vs tier 2 and 3 teams vs 16/24 after Demon1 joined the team. In the game where they literally swapped out BcJ for Demon1, the only reason why they lost was because C0m and Jawgemo went 3/14 and 5/15 respectively.
In the last series we just watched, Demon1 had 101 kills as opposed to the rest of his team around the high 60s. You're on the site with the stats: https://www.vlr.gg/248283/evil-geniuses-vs-loud-valorant-champions-2023-playoffs-lbf.
Yea, I'm not dealing with your results only based analysis. You're completely disregarding the incredible level of improvement other players have made. Demon1 is one guy. He played well in tokyo but it was the others, particularly boostio, who carried in tokyo. And even here in champions, while demon1 has stepped it up massively, he wouldn't be able to carry without the efforts of his team.
ONE player can not carry a team on their own. The improvement seen in the overall EG squad is because of great fundamental coaching and improvement over time. I'm done arguing with you.
Goodbye.
demon1 drops 101 bombs with 42% hs rate "Bro potter is such a godlike coach11!!"
Shes decent, at best. People fail to remember she has been in EG for 2 mf years and did not qualify for any relevant event.. her coaching was mediocre, got 100x better this year but shes far behind coaches like frod, mini, chet, alecks,etc..
Oh, you could just say that the incapable EG team in terms of competitiveness has turned into a hell of a monster of a team that is more than capable of shaking up anyone today (pun not intended)
While not everyone doubted Potter, a significant portion of the community did, for one reason or another. However, she proved her critics wrong, as her vision turned out to be nicely aligned with reaching set objective for the org.... I mean, even using the term “proved…” here might be a stretch, as the only ones she really owes any proof to are those who believed/invested in her vision from the very beginning and throughout time - great job EG.
While trust/hope dies last, there is still objective to reach - the trophy. In a perfect scenario, won trophies will only add towards completing that "GOAT" status journey IMHO - looks like EG is already not far from that. Having mentioned the perfect scenario, however, I still believe we could already put Potter amongst the best of the professionals of Valorant scene today - without the doubt.
Aside from the GOAT status chase, it is crucial to note that EG's invitational/VCT performances thus far show that the team's important aspects (C0M...etc) have grown well, and there looks to be more opportunity for growth, which also nicely speaks volumes about EG's competent management - committed and hard working members... Matched with Potter's already established vision, and a combined effort of the players, it's quite possible EG will continue to grow and improve, or simply put, it should be their objective after the tournament, as teams will be catching up - very curious to see how thing will go from then for them IMHO.
