If sen was just another team that won Iceland and didn't have a large following I think a lot of people would believe me.
I honestly think the SEN era is over.
what does this even mean. they were called the best team in the world after having one GOOD tourney bro
it's not as if they STOMPED their group and then had an unlucky loss in quarters, causing an early exit
they looked extremely mediocre throughout the group stage, baited fans into thinking they weren't trying, then got handedly beaten by envy on two maps they're strong at
they received the title of best in the world after dominating the first international lan
now they flop out of the second, so obviously people will look for a new "best team" to rally around
SEN were bound to lose at some point, having such a good run and being the top team in the world (in Iceland) put a big target on their backs, Just like how VS lost to F4Q a few months ago after their 100+ win streak. All teams lose bro, I also like SEN but I just don't like their attitude, TenZ is the only humble player on SEN.
I like Sentinels but there was never an era to begin with. Yes, they were the first team to dominate the NA region since Valorant came out a year ago and they won the first major at Iceland. But that's it, one major doesn't really makes for an entire era. Now teams have caught up to them and they lost Berlin. Winning the first major and losing the second one is definitely NOT an era.
Do they have what it takes to actually have an era? Absolutely. But now, they actually have to prove it at Champions.
Discussing eras in this game is really weird as majors happen few and far between. It's not like in CS where the top teams from around the world always play in so many majors. in Val there are 4 international tourneys a year. So it would be very hard to create an "era" per say. What i would say is that their NA dominance may be in question, but the era talk is kinda gray area imo
unless we see a team win every game 2-0 without losing 5 rounds per map and win 3-0 in the final, we won't see a dominant team. We'll maybe see the best team, but not the most dominant. Right now, all teams are so close to each other in terms of skill. The chances of a team dominating everyone is slim. It could also be a tournament full of upsets, which doesn't really say much about who the best team is.
there never was an era in Valorant to begin with
compared to CSGO you don't even play that many games, you literally win 1 masters and the next master is like half a year away
in between there's hardly any games you have to play and you're playing vs. nooby teams (even in masters SEN is farming vs. JP, KR, and BR teams lol)
you can't really have an era where you win a couple of matches, win a tournament, and go afk for 3 months saying u have an era
it just doesn't work like that
