Riots Partnership Process for Sen

Can someone explain how Riot even chose Sentinels for partnership if they look extensively into their business relations? How does a T1 partnered org publicly announce their company is falling apart before the first year of VCT is even concluded? Did riot partner with them for twitter impressions? Everyone is clowning on Sen right now but I’m even more confused how Riot trusted them with a spot in their league in the first place

So they picked a dying org for partnership to get some extra views? Nice going riot! You can really see how they care about the legitimacy of esports!

BRO FRANCHISING IS ALL ABOUT VIEWS 💀

Well it’s a partnership program, not franchising.
Which is exactly why you would think Riot would want to choose stable organizations that would ensure views and engagement for years to come. Look at EG for example, not the most popular org in the world but they’re one of the most stable to be around this long in such an industry, which is why Riot is betting on them.

nope. riot wants money (dont we all?). they dont care how they get it, as long as it keeps coming in. In fact, orgs probably bring in hardly any money for riot, the players do. so as long as the players (tenz for example) stick around in the partnership program, riot is happy.

to be fair, not many orgs are looking good financially right now. Maybe before the esports depression SEN was looking fine but now that the VC money stopped flowing so freely they'll need to cut back on contracts

That’s what I mean though, how is riots process not able to see this coming? Or even if they did, did they value whatever impressions Sen would bring to the game more than the longevity of the org itself?

Not really about who’s profiting, because that’s unrealistic. It’s about picking stable orgs that can continue operations, even at a loss. EG is one of the longest standing orgs in esports and Riot sure didn’t pick them for their online impressions or engagement. They picked them because they can rely on them to have an actual product. I guess this shows how shallow Sen actually is in terms of value they can actually bring to Riot

Loud wasn't even a "normal" org. They weren't suppose to create competitive teams, they create the org to create content on tiktok, youtube and other things. When they got the fanbase and good image they entered in the competitive scene(already having huge fanbase, solid sponsors and the brand). Loud fans are like the sports, they cheers for their team and that's it.They managed to retain fans like no one else

99% of people on here don´t have any idea what the financial numbers and statements they put out actually mean... There is litterally millions of companies that supply the stuff that u use or buy daily whos P&L sheets look the same just with a few more zeros on the loss number. As long as u can get money it does not matter how much u loose if investors have confidence that u will make money at some point.
